Advanta US Announces Rusty Bevel as Central Sales Manager


AMARILLO, Texas – March 27, 2014 – Advanta US, a leading international supplier of proprietary agricultural crop genetics and seed, announces the appointment of Rusty Bevel as central sales manager. Serving the area west of the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains, Bevel will focus on sales of the Alta Seeds brand of premium sorghum products and private label seed. His responsibilities include technical and agronomic support, product training, test plot supervision and business development.

“Rusty has a diverse background with seven years of agricultural experience in the High Plains states and valuable leadership experience in the U.S. Army,” says Barry Lubbers, director of sales for Advanta US. “We look forward to his contributions in strengthening and expanding our market position in our central sales region.”

Before coming to Advanta US, Bevel held positions as a commodity merchandiser for Archer Daniels Midland Company and in sales for Cargill, Inc. He has also served as a gun team leader in the Airborne Rangers of the United States Army.

Bevel earned a bachelor of science in agriculture from Texas Tech University. He will operate out of the Advanta US headquarters in Amarillo, Texas.
